ABOUT

Volunteer members of the Long Beach Community Cat Coalition work together to trap, sterilize and vaccinate, and then return community cats in the Long Beach, California area. We work independently as volunteers with the support of Long Beach Animal Care Services for vouchers, and when necessary, medical support for sick and injured cats in the service area, as well as local  cat rescues including The Little Lion Foundation and Helen Sanders CatPAWS low cost spay/neuter clinics. The mission is to help end suffering by reducing the number of unwanted cats and kittens and ensuring that community cat colonies are healthy and do not reproduce.

By doing this, the number of cats and kittens entering the public shelter is reduced, thereby reducing euthanasia of healthy, at risk and/or treatable cats and kittens in public shelters. We practice Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return (TNVR), an integrated system that humanely and compassionately prevents reproduction and returns cats to the place they were found. We volunteer in Long Beach, Ca and surrounding areas.
